Hi! Welcome to our computing community's cozy corner of the internet!
We have a lively Matrix room and weekly voice calls every Saturday at 15:00 UTC. Feel free to stop by and say hi!
We do lots of fun stuff. Like using graph algorithms to install every Arch package or booting Linux off of Google Drive, because why not?
Check out our monthly magazine, exozine, or subscribe to exofeeds for updates from our members' blogs.
We've started several free and open-source projects and are also contributors to many existing projects such as KDE, GNOME, Forgejo, ForgeFed, Space Station 14, and Fish.
This our supreme overlord mascot, Sydney the cat. He loves eating salmon, chin rubs, and sleeping. Get your Sydney stickers here!

Once upon a time, @a had a machine. It was a pretty nice machine. Using this machine, @a, @spicecat, @abheekd, and their friends made some cool projects and websites. Soon, the community grew and people from around the world joined. In 2022, our Gitea instance became the first-ever forge to successfully federate using ForgeFed! But one day, the machine encountered its arch-nemesis: entropy!
@a had no choice but to concede defeat to the dual forces of entropy and being busy in life and sadly sold the machine. But luckily, our community is still alive and thriving. And for exozyme's 4th birthday on March 29, 2025, we had a virtual conference, exocon25, which was a huge success!
Oh and if you've wondering about the origin of the name exozyme, it's just some random invented word. Just please don't call it "exozy" or we'll all glare disapprovingly at you. Pronounce it however you like.
