Hi! Welcome to our computing community's cozy corner of the internet!
We have a lively Matrix room and weekly voice calls every Saturday at 15:00 UTC. Feel free to stop by and say hi!
We do lots of fun stuff. Like using graph algorithms to install every Arch package or booting Linux off of Google Drive, because why not?
Check out our monthly magazine, exozine, or subscribe to exofeeds for updates from our members' blogs.
We're contributors to many free and open-source projects, including KDE, GNOME, Forgejo, ForgeFed, Space Station 14, Fish, and many more, and also started a few of our own.
This our mascot, Sydney the cat. He loves eating salmon, chin rubs, and sleeping. He also has admin privileges on Matrix.

"Welcome to the cult of the Unix socket"
"I have to fold myself to solve it"
Once upon a time, @a had a machine. It was a pretty nice machine. Using this machine, @a, @spicecat, @abheekd, and their friends made some cool projects and websites and taught an Intro to Python class. Soon, the community grew and people from around the world joined. In 2022, the Gitea instance on this machine became the first-ever forge to successfully federate with Mastodon! But one day, the machine encountered its arch-nemesis: entropy!
@a had no choice but to concede defeat to the dual forces of entropy and being busy in life and sadly sold off the machine. But luckily, our community is still alive and doing just fine! Seriously, just look at our Matrix and voice calls. SSD failures can kill machines, but they can't kill communities. Or at least, not this one.
Oh and if you've wondering about the origin of the name exozyme, it's just an invented word that sounds cool and contains everyone's favorite math variables x, y, and z! Just please don't call it "exozy" or we'll all glare disapprovingly at you. Pronounce it however you like. You can find this website's source code (CC BY-SA 4.0 license) here.
